If you’re looking for some top-notch minor hockey action in the coming weeks, than look no further than the Escape the Blues, AA Minor Hockey Tournament, taking place February 5 to February 7, 2010.
Hosted by the Toronto City Blues, the event will take place at Chesswood Arena, and will welcome 42 hockey teams across six age groups. Many of the participants will be hailing from the Greater Toronto Area, but hockey teams from as far as Detroit (P.K. Warriors), Buffalo (Tanawanda Lightning) and Sudbury (Sudbury Wolves) will also be on hand.
An annual event for over five years now, the Escape the Blues Tournament has grown into one of the premier AA hockey tournaments in the Greater Toronto Area.
Former NHL hockey player and tournament director, Rick Heinz, began planning for the event in March of last year, and continues working until the trophies are handed out. Heinz gives credit to a committed City Blues staff, comprised of parents, coaches, general managers and volunteers, as they are the catalysts that make this successful event possible.
Understanding the importance of creating a quality community event for everyone, the Toronto City Blues have always stayed true to their policy of not charging an admission fee to spectators looking to take the event in.

Minor Bantam AA: February 7 @ 12:15pm (Chesswood Arena, Rink 4)
Bantam AA: February 7 @ 1:10pm (Chesswood Arena, Rink 3)
Atom AA: February 7 @ 1:25pm (Chesswood Arena, Rink 4)
Minor Midget AA: February 7 @ 2:20pm (Chesswood Arena, Rink 3)
Peewee AA: February 7 @ 2:35pm (Chesswood Arena, Rink 4)
