Name: Reyna Puri
Exercise/Sport: Yoga
Specialty: Various yoga disciplines, including meditation and teacher training.
This week’s Exercise Toronto.Com athlete of the week, Reyna Puri, is a respected yoga specialist based out of Brampton who has learned and taught at Yoga hotbeds all over the world.
Here is her story:
I began my journey in India. I resided there for a couple of years in pursuit of an acting career, but as my life carried on, I ended up down a path directed towards health and fitness instead of entertainment.
Originally, I studied under the classical Patanjali style of Yoga at the Yoga Institute in India. Their facility and program incorporates Hatha Yoga, the eight limbs of Ashtang Yoga, Power Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation.
Today my passion for Yoga carries on, and I now am just as passionate about teaching people Yoga, as I am about doing it myself.
I can say it gives me great gratitude and pleasure, to be a yoga teacher and guide.
My main goal is to hopefully enlighten people’s lives, and educate them about themselves and their health… Just how important our bodies are and how our body is like our temple.
Today, I offer personalized Yoga classes at my Brampton based studio: Breath Shala.
I specialize in offering various Yoga disciplines, including meditation and teacher training as well. In the summer I teach Yoga programs at high schools and still have clients overseas that I cater to when I am there.
Good Luck and Enjoy.

Reyna has been guiding me in Mantras to find my inner strenght for my horseback riding. With her, I have managed to over come personal fears to get back on the horse. Reyna is excellent in her teachings and guidance.
Way to go Reyna
